WELCOME TO THE FLAVOURS OF AUBURN
Thank you for your interest in the Flavours of Auburn program
The Flavours of Auburn program has been temporarily suspended due to COVID but classes will be resuming soon.
To receive and alert to know when classes resume subscribe to the Flavours of Auburn newsletter.
Flavours of Auburn is a social enterprise which connects people, communities and cultures through a shared love for food. In a cooking class, our community cooks will welcome you into their kitchen, and teach you how to make delicious dishes from Ethiopia, Iran, Southern China, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. You will learn how to cook new recipes from scratch and share a dinner feast at the end of the evening. On a walking food tour, our local tour guides will steer you through the streets of Auburn to visit businesses and munch through food samples from every corner of the world. You will discover edible treasures tucked away in little arcades and meet some of Auburn’s small business owners, who will proudly share with you their stories of starting up a business in the area and contributing to a rich and vibrant community.
All proceeds from the cooking classes and food tours go towards covering project costs, and any proceeds are reinvested in expanding this project and further supporting the local community.
This project is a partnership between Cumberland City Council, the Auburn Small Community Organisation Network (ASCON), House of Welcome and local Auburn businesses.
